Snomads Ride Coordinator Guide 2020



           1. Create a ride in advance of the snow season in line with
           previous planned trips and label the ride level expected.
           Suggested speeds, A ride up to 60 mph, B ride up to 50 mph,
           C ride up to 40 mph.

           2. Select and secure lodging capable of groups of up to 30 rid-
           ers
           or so, and that is trail accessible.

           3. Post a flyer on the club website with all info of trip. Date,
           times, location, and lodging information.

           4. Itinerary –List possible destinations for each days ride.
           Include lunches, dinners, parties, meetings or social
           gatherings. Post in the lobby of the hotel at check in desk.

           5. Ride Briefing- A welcome to all and review of general ride
           rules, classification of the different groups, and determination
           of leaders and sweep riders of each group. A meeting the
           evening before a ride is probably most effective if possible.
           Question and answer session is invited and a night to sleep on
           it. Give a reminder of equipment check, that gas and oil are
           full. A morning meeting the day of the ride is also
           recommended.

           6. Distribute safety vests for the leaders and sweeps.
           It’s also recommended that someone is each group carry the
           emergency pack.

           7. Discuss ride guidelines with leaders and sweeps.
