We had enjoyed a great day of riding, and in the evening, after dinner, we
all dressed in “period decor” or that was the plan. As I remember it, the
only person who was actually identifiable as in “period decor “ was a Cana-
dian Fur Trapper who’s name was “Jacque Ettch”! You and I know this long
time club Member, and good friend,
Mr. SnomaD himself, Mr. Ron Schroeder. Thanks Ron, I will never be able
to erase the image of you standing next to the ten-foot stone fireplace, at
Chamberlain’s. Of course, I don’t want to forget. And, this is why I hope, in
my own way, to share with you this story. If it hadn’t been for this snow-
mobile club and it’s unique members, in many ways, what a dull snowmo-
biling experience these many years would have been.
Starting this month, the SnomadS Snofari Club is celebrating a Milestone
Year
and I am encouraging you all to join in, participate with us, and help make
this Year of Celebration the best ever! We’ve had a taste of winter during
the Shakedown Ride in December. I’m sure more snow will find its way to
cover our 6,500 miles of groomed trails in Michigan. And, at the end of our
snowmobiling season, on April 25 we will start celebrating with our annual
Trails End Party, during the first part of August the club will be returning to
Groveland Township County Park for several days of camping and fun, and
then in November we are planning the best ever Season Kickoff Party.
Please read your club newsletter, the SnomaD and mark your calendars
and make plans to be with us. One big family, with a common love of
snowmobiling and the out of doors in Michigan in a yearlong Celebration
of what this club truly represents.
When you are a SnomaD, YOU RIDE WITH THE BEST!
This was true when I first joined the club and it remains true to this day!
I want to thank you all.
