Thanks very much Connie for representing the SnomadS!
Jim Duke writes "...I hope this brief history of SnomadS helps today's mem-
bers realize where the roots of the club were established. I still wear my
SnomadS pin proudly and my lapel when I wear a coat
and tie, and every now and then when we get out the old photos and relive
the good times of SnomadS past. I've lost touch with Tommy Bellehumeur
over the past few years, and of course, Gerld Kline passed away a few
years back." (FYI-the Jay Pine Award is named in honor of Gerld Kline) Jim
still keeps in touch with Ralph and Greg. "...Harry
Small moved to Florida and traded in snowmobiles for motorcycles, Gary
still lives in the Lake Orion area. Of course, you know where Connie and I
live...up here in God's country!! " Jim, I thank you.
May all your trails be smooth and snowmobile trips pleasurable too!
I hope you have enjoyed reading about the early days of this club, its
founders and some of the sleds they drove. There is more to come. Memo-
ries from the trail will be next. These colorful stories may have to be edit-
ed, but believe me, they are great examples of the fun members of the
SnomadS had in the early days. They are also very funny! Watch for
"Memories" in future issues of the Snomad.
