Good afternoon everyone, I hope all is well. Boy, this winter has
been CRAZY!!! One minute it snows 10 inches, then the next minute the
sun is out and it's 49 and sunny. I have been on only one club ride this
season, but I just came home from Saguenay, Canada on Saturday. It was
AMAZING!!!! I made the trip with Dave Gabriel, Martin Foster and Al. We
left from Marty's house on January 17th at 4am and arrived in Chalets
Sur Le Fjord in L'Anse-Saint-Jean Quebec at 12am. Yes, you read that cor-
rectly. 20hrs in a truck, but it was all worth it. During the week, we rode
to two of the five peaks of Mt Valin, and rode a ferry across the Saguenay
river at the mouth of the St Lawrence Seaway. I left a simple man and
came home an International Man of Mystery. I can speak a little, I mean a
little French. I tasted some Canadian Cuisine, and can I just say Poutine is
AMAZING!!! I found some 5.9 Pabst beer, and drank some great Canadi-
an beer as well. I also discovered that Lime Vodka, Sprite and Club Soda is
very tasty. Now, I know what you are thinking … All he did was eat and
drink, well that's not all we did, we rode around 700 miles.

Now on to a little Club business. When the clock struck 12:00 am
on January 1, 2020, it marked the start of our 35th year as SnomadS
Snofari Club. All events from here on out will reflect our banner year
from our Trails End Party to the General Membership Picnic to our annu-
al Kick Off Banquet. Speaking of the 35th Anniversary Events MARK YOUR
CALENDERS!!! July 31st - August 2nd is our General Membership / Cam-
                                                                    st
pout. The General Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday Aug 1 ,
of course it is at the same location and loop as last year’s Groveland Oaks
Campground in Holly MI. Cory, Dee, Julie and I are in the planning stages,
and have some great ideas. BRING SOME EXTRA MONEY for the games
and tournaments we have planned. Half of all proceeds will go to our
charities. We will open reservations in April which will run for one month.
Just like last year you’ll need to be paid in full by the campout. We do not
run around trying to collect money for camp sites. The Good and Plenty
Ride is next week, I know Chuck and Bill are watching the weather closely
and will keep us updated if they need to move or cancel the ride.
