Well, it’s late September and signs of Fall are in the air, football has
started, and some areas are showing signs of color. Besides the foot-
ball and color, fall also brings a new start to the Snomad. As you all
may have heard, yes, Ron Schroeder has retired after many years of
writing and publishing the Snomad, so the next time you see Ron,
thank him for all those years of funny stories, and all of his hard
work. The Snomad is the lifeblood of this organization, and we need
to keep it going. So this is why I have volunteered to do the Snomad
until a permanent editor can be put into place. If anyone has any-
thing that needs to go into the Snomad, send it to my email
           wright23551@comcast.net.

Now for the treasurer side, I have sent out the membership / KOP
forms for this year. You notice the price of the membership was in-
creased by Five dollars. The main reason for this was because we
were going to stop selling trail permits at the Novi show, and just sell
them to our members only. The liability to handle 30,000 to 40,000
thousand dollars is getting to be too much. The lost will eliminate
between Five, and Six hundred dollars that we would normally take
in, plus we can’t always count on advertising money.

When we spoke to the Michigan Snowmobile & Orv Association
about purchasing trail permits, we were told there may not be per-
mits printed this year to sell. Continue pg 29
