HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!! Well, it is now 2020 and my eyesight
isn't living up to the year. Julie and I stayed in last night, we have been
doing this for years. It's just not worth getting a ticket, or going to jail, or
worse, getting into an accident. I hope those of you who did partake in
the festivities around town, had the good sense to get an Uber, or Lyft,
and are not nursing a very bad hangover. With that said. Mother Nature
sure is playing tricks on us, we get February snow in December for the
Shakedown Ride, then she pulls the rain and warm temperatures card.
Just like that BAM!!!!! HEAVY WET DAMAGING SNOW!! Making the trails
in dire need of assistance from downed trees.
I see Mr. Ron was riding ATV's last weekend, then riding his snowmobile
yesterday, he put 45 miles on the new engine. Got to love Michigan
weather eh!! We have some upcoming rides scheduled, and I hope the
Snow gods talk nicely to Mother Nature, and she grants us with some
good snow!! I know that we have two Charity rides coming up, For Wom-
en Only, and the Pink Ribbon Riders. Please, if you are wanting to attend
please let our Charity Chair Dave Gabriel know.
2020 marks a banner year for The SnomadS, it makes number 35, so we
are planning the T.E.P. with possibly a new location, and some other nice
surprises for the club. All functions this year will be 35th year related. I
know the Snowmobiling season is in full swing as I speak, but I just want
to remind everyone about our Campout / GMM/Picnic in August. Cory
and Dee Ortwine, and Julie and I had such a BLAST last year Hosting /
Coordinating the event, we are doing it again this year. It will take place
at Groveland Oaks Campground in Holly, and we have reserved the same
loop. We will be opening reservations soon!!
